Our system is broken. It is crumbling under the weight of the bills and laws and policies and decisions of two hundred years of governance. It is a computer that hasn't been defraged. It is a car that hasn't had an oil change in two centuries.
We need say Long Live The Revolution.
We need to Reset.
This movement towards embracing the best principles this country was founded on could well be the most important movement of our generation. Apathy is the poison that will kill this governance ideal.

Everyday across the country, we hear phrases and expressions being used in conversation that few who use them exactly know what they mean. For instance, what does ""whole nine yards,"" actually mean? Or, what about ""keep your nose to the grindstone,"" or ""bone up""? Do you know?
Adages, sayings, aphorisms, idioms, figures of speech, colorful expressionscall them what you will, these little idiosyncrasies of the English language are so deeply embedded in our speech patterns that we all use them without giving a second thought to where they originated, why they are part of the English language, and most importantly, their actual meaning.
Take a look inside to discover - quite tongue-in-cheek, of course - the origins of some of your favorites!
