ALEXIS & STEVE

From Aishia:
The mini story/memory I'll share is when Lex and I decided to enter one of many contests to win 'NSYNC tickets. This particular contest was from the show TRL on MTV and asked that you send in a simple video detailing why you were the biggest 'NSYNC fans. Like the true (and let's be honest...slightly PSYCHOTIC) fans that we were, we filmed ourselves doing everything that each member of 'NSYNC liked doing. Which naturally meant we had to film ourselves eating cereal...Justin's favorite food, describing in depth how NSYNC had shaped our lives, and (not to be outdone) performing their full choreography complete with lip sync! I assure you, we forgot not one hip thrust :) Although we didn't win and our clip was never aired, I know that both Lex and I live in constant fear knowing that a 'NSYNC tribute show will be aired and a clip from our video will suddenly appear on national television outing and embarrassing us for what may be the rest of our lives!! :) I would describe Alexis in a 1 word adjective as "devoted" - for she is without a doubt, and has always been my one friend who is always 100% devoted to everything in her life just as much as I was, and continually was there to remind me that we could achieve anything we set our minds to. |
From Meredith:
My story is about Alexis' COMMITMENT! A couple years ago she came to visit me in the fall and we decided to go to a fall festival where there was a scavenger hunt corn maze. Always up for an adventure, we went for it... and while a lot of people would have probably been "too cool" for it or half-assed their way through, Alexis and I were committed to working our way through the whole thing and were so excited when we finally finished it - I have the photo of her leaping in the air at the exit to prove it :) |
From Katie:
ok...i always tell alexis that she has such a hearty laugh!!! she really does, too. but be sure to use the word HEARTY because i always tell her this. Lex and I met on valentine's day in college! well, we didnt meet, but we hung out all day together and it was the first real day of our friendship,. We lived together senior year along with Anne (who will be at the wedding so you may want to do a shout out!) and Robin and i remember picking out Lex's Friday night outfits for her so that she could come home from working at Kohls and be ready to change right away and go out for the night. One funny story is that Lex and I both applied to jobs at Kohl's senior year and on the application it asks, "why are you applying for this position???" and i wrote 'for some extra spending money" and, of course, Alexis beautifully wrote something like "because I love Kohl's , it's products and enjoy providing excellent customer service "--needless to say, she got the job and i didnt!!!! I have a million funny stories but most are probably not appropriate for a wedding speech so lets go with that one for now! xoxox From MarTee:
So Steve and lex met on an online dating site...which many people in this world of technology do. So for their first date they went hiking and lex decided that she better post on Facebook where she was going just to be safe. So they went hiking...some stranger took their picture...and here we are today. With many of us going on a minor hike (cuz were taking pictures at the falls) |
